Nicola's Tasting Note:
Deeper red black right to the rim with a fabulous, gorgeously expressive nose of spiced, tarry black cherries, with a hint of very ripe mulberry behind. Sweet, dense ripe fruit on the palate, with lovely supple tannins behind, layered and expansive, with a gorgeously long, spiced, satisfying finish.

Grower Information: Based in Vosne Romanée and master of his own Domaine since 1995, Michel
Gros has a total of 22 hectares of vines spanning the Vosne, Vougeot and Nuits
appellations with more than a smattering of Premiers and Grands Crus
between them. Naturally very reticent and with a very quiet turn of phrase,
once in the cellar Michel will open up and tastings with him are always
incredibly instructive and a marathon of note taking in order not to miss a gem
of information about particular vineyard characteristics in that year or any
other idiosyncrasies which will better help the taster understand his wines.
